Especially when you have a history of insomnia, and it's now 10:00 AM and there's been no sleep in 20 hours. Part of why I prefer evening and night shifts to work. So, an open question to those who frequent the grown-up and especially Alternative/ BDSM personals sites: I run my searches as a single male. The hits I get are supposedly single females. Why the hell is it so very many of those ads are girls looking for a "sister" sub to play with her and her Dom? How is that NOT a couple seeking a single female and why the %)&^&   does it take up MY search and reading time???   I don't care about how nice your Dom is. I'm not him and I don't wanna talk to you since you don't wanna play with single men. There is a "couples seeking " category on Alt, Bondage, and Collarme. If you are seeking at your partner's bequest or for a playmate for a threesome with you and him YOU ARE NOT A SINGLE FEMALE. Gah. Oh, and why don't you put his picture up as well if he's going to be playing? Is he that scary looking? I really don't care, and I guess the target audience won't see it either since she'll be looking under "couples", but what's he afraid of????

Yeah, I know, I rant a lot. I probably irritate many people. I'm too tired to really be concerned right now.

Oh, and I was already asked about age ranges re: my profile. Uhm....   I'm not prejudiced on age, as long as you're legal in my state and yours. I have dated 18 year olds and met some very mature 17 year olds. MET, not "had", clean your mind out. I've also had the pleasure in my 30's of having a brief thing with a Lady in her 50's who had style, grace, class, and the experience to know how to stun men with them. I'm damn curious to know why the women who seem interested lately tend to be on the low and barely legal end of the scale. Is there something in the profile hat says " I would be a good substitute father or a way to piss off your parents"? Is there something I can't see that makes women in their late 30's ad 40's go " Mmmmmm.....   not near my kids"? Again, I don't want to discourage communication with either end of the spectrum, I'm just noticing the trends and wondering.

Ok, so..  One of the huge issues I have after the last election < YES, I DO love to start a good fight> is where do we draw the line? No, not on the Prez. On narrow mindedness and telling everyone else how to run their lives. Did anyone else KNOW for a FACT that Bert & Ernie of Sesame Street fame are Gay? and Sponge Bob? Or that wearing Purple makes you gay ( remember Tinky Winky?)? So here's the thing: I grew up on Sesame Street. Thought Bert & Ernie were OK but liked Kermit & Grover more. I raced big ass macho A Sedan Better Than Freaking Sex Camaros. I don't give a rat's ass what other men do in private. I just don't care. I'm neither homophobic nor homosexual, but I would entrust a child needing a good home to a pair of male nurses who had been together for 10 years before I trusted that child to be raised by someone on their 3rd or 4th heterosexual union.

The fear and the last election come in with 11 out of 11 states that had Gay marriage on the ballot voting to outlaw it. This is monumental, people. NOT NOT NOT as a defense of marriage. Marriage is screwed over or functional because of the people in the marriage, not anything any law says. It is monumental because states have now voted to DENY rights to a sexual minority, or indeed any minority. 11 states have said "You may be a citizen but you are not equal". Am I the only one who read his history and recalls that the Nazis targeted homosexuals, lesbians, and prostitutes early on? Or how that progressed?

Now we have the self righteous once again picking fights with anyone who talks tolerance. No one is saying you SHOULD be gay, but they are saying it's OK. No, sorry, that's not acceptable to the folks in 11 of 11 states who voted on it, nor the Right Wing. EVERYONE MUST be straight according to them. Everyone must believe in their religion. Fire away people, but I see no difference between and Islamic theocracy or a Christian theocracy. It's just a matter of which aspect of God you choose to kill for. So how long, now, before they go after other deviants? The ones who like shoes. Or the ones who like a little violence with their sex? How long before you SHOULD and MUST be White, Heterosexual, and Christian or you're not a *real* citizen?

I haven't been back to Canada since I was 3 months old. I'm concerned enough that I've filed to get my dual citizenship acknowledged by Canada.

I find it Ironic that the news story of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz is running back to back with the Secretary of Education pressuring PBS to pull an Arthur show that spoke of tolerance and had ( Horrors!) a lesbian couple and their daughter. I understand PBS has to protect their funding, but my god. Isn't government pressuring the media the step before openly shutting them down? And isn't that also one of the precursors to 1930's Germany's descent into fascism? It can happen here. It has happened here. The Indian Reservations of the 1800's AND today. The internment of Japanese Americans WHO WERE CITIZENS during WW2.

Just remember that in the end, you deserve what you voted for.
